The fourth annual AcuityCon has come and gone, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the time we spent together. And AcuityCon’s evergreen theme is consistent with previous years: We’re Here To Form Lasting Connections.

Company Updates
Acuity Co-Founders Kenji Kuramoto and Matthew May kicked off AcuityCon with company updates, which included shoutouts, awards, achievements, and more.
Of course to keep the party going, they had to share some hype content to close out their session. Check out Acuity leadership’s version of the TikTok challenge, #PassThePhone:

AcuityCon Keynotes
We had two lovely keynote speakers, Expensify COO Anu Muralidharan and Head of FreshBooks’ Accounting Channel Twyla Verhelst.
Anu closed out day one with an early start to happy hour with champagne flutes for everyone! She even continued the party during dinner and drinks on the rooftop, inspiring a movement among Acuity team members that even got its own hashtag: #AnuMadeMeDoIt.
And Twyla closed out day two with an interactive gift giving exercise. Tears were even shed by Matthew and Kenji for her thoughtfulness.
Both women delivered engaging presentations, leaving us with great professional and personal advice. We encourage you to check out their keynotes, linked at the bottom!
Trade Show
Our trade show was a huge success, as always – in part thanks to Roving Matthew, but mostly thanks to our tech partners!
They showed up and showed out with smiles on their faces and company swag on their trade show tables, eager to make connections with new faces as well as catch up with old friends.
Anyone Want a Christmas Card?
This year, we splurged for a cut out of Kenji and Matthew, which was a huge hit! So much so that our team was having fun snapping photos with them before AcuityCon began.
Looks like some of our employees already found the @kenjikuramoto and @TheTechCPA life-sized cut out for #AcuityCon 😂

We might’ve even come out of AcuityCon with this year’s Christmas card…
Thank You’s
As always, putting on an event like this takes a village. There are so many people to thank for showing up and showing out to make AcuityCon 2022 not only possible, but a great success.
And we would be remiss to lose out on another opportunity to give this year’s sponsors a shout out. Matthew’s closing speech said it best:
“The real reason we started AcuityCon was because Kenji and I were experiencing our partners and our friends, and you weren’t getting that opportunity…to have conversations like we’ve had with Twyla and partner interactions like we’ve had with Anu.”
“So we thought we could build that experience here. That was the dream, and I finally feel like we’re starting to execute on that dream. It’s very exciting to look around and see lasting connections being made.”
“Sustainability for us in creating this experience and creating these lasting connections is so important. About half of our team is still experiencing AcuityCon virtually, and contributions from our tech partners allowed us to take this to the next level.”
